He totally does it on purpose. Sort of. Sometimes. Yes.
So of course Dr Stilinski is late today, assigned the surgeries no one wants today and research for doctors who don't particularly want to do their own at this point. (Like Doctor Hale)
"Lydia."

So he was out of the loop. He knew something was wrong with Stiles. A possession of some sort. And he knew that the night before, something awful had happened. He didn't know how he knew. It was just something he could feel. Which is exactly why he was at school so late that day. The halls and cleared. The last rays of daylight were fading through the doors at the end of the corridor. He'd drowned out the world with loud music and testing the limits of his strength in the weight room. But now in the silence, he couldn't ignore it. He needed to find someone. Ask someone. What the hell was going on? Pulling his phone out, his thumb hovered over Lydia's number. He halted. He'd barely even spoken to her since returning.

Gray's Anatomy AU - Date Night
She's waiting by the nurse's station, absently flipping through a chart as she waits.
Re: Gray's Anatomy AU - Date Night
Eventually, he figured out where to take her. Somewhere nice that he could afford. He even found nice clothes that didn't look like he'd slept in them while studying. So that's where he's at, mentally, when he finally makes his way to the nurse's station to pick her up.
See, Lydia? He puts thought into things.

Grey's the 3rd - This Shit Never Gets Old...Until It Does
The patient had been in good health save for the surgery that had been required. So when the heart gave out, everyone had been surprised, and everyone had moved quickly to deal with the complication. It hadn't been enough. Lydia was holding the man's heart between her hands, trying to massage it, stimulate it into beating again.
Somehow, before it happened, she just seemed to know, in some fundamental way she cannot explain. The review had cleared her, she'd done everything she was supposed to do, and now all that's left is to deal with her first loss on an operating table. She knew it was inevitable, and yet nothing could truly prepare her.
She sits in a tight huddle in the stairwell, hands pressed to her mouth to keep her sobs from being heard. She doesn't want anyone seeing her cry.

So he was worried, and he convinced Scott to take his shift. Went looking for her. She wasn't hard to find, really. There were only so many places to hide in this place. When he did find her, he didn't speak. A first for him, honestly. He sat on the step above the one she sat on and waited.

Did someone say Zombies?
Derek and his pack had gone off on their own about three months in. It hadn't been a good parting but it had been their choice and Scott hadn't been able to stop them. Honestly, he'd been surprised they'd lasted that long.
He'd deferred to Chris a lot because he knew how to survive, he taught them how to shoot, how to care for the weapons he'd brought and when he'd fallen trying to protect Allison and Lydia, it had been Lydia who'd finished him off.
Allison had changed after that, even more so than after her mother's death. It was like she'd lost everything that anchored her. Scott tried to help, but there was nothing he could do and when she fell to them, Scott handled it.
He didn't speak for two days after that, just focusing on getting them to safety. Lydia had turned into one of their best assets next to Stiles. When she was bitten, though, she took matters into her own hands and that was the last night either Scott or Stiles slept alone.
They adjusted though and still tried to keep some level of normalcy, but now...
Scott stood in the middle of a creek, pouring water over himself as he tried not to think about the morning. It had been a supply run and he and Stiles had gone, but by the time they'd made it back to camp...
Well, they'd taken care of their own parent respectively and buried them. Which just left him and Stiles. A werewolf who'd refused to kill anyone because there was always another option and his best friend...
Scott closed his eyes, hands running through his wet hair before he walked towards the bank and levered himself out of the water. Killing had become a way of life now and while he knew there was no other way, parts of him had died and were still dying with every familiar face he'd put in the ground.
He was careful coming back to the camp they'd made. There was no fire though, because it could attract attention and Scott dropped down beside where Stiles was sitting, his gaze shifting up towards the moon.
Another week before it was full...
no subject
So he was always thinking. He was always thinking, and it was always in his head that maybe they should've followed Derek and Cora wherever they'd gone. South America, maybe? The virus or...whatever had done this to the world, it was probably down there too. But maybe not. Maybe it wasn't, and if it wasn't maybe everyone'd still be alive. Melissa, Allison, Lydia, Argent. His father.
He didn't even know if he'd be alive, come next week or the week after. Scott...he had a feeling he'd at least survive this. If he'd be himself...that Stiles didn't know. Not really.
But he'd never seen a werewolf fall from the bite of a zombie. And that was another thing he couldn't get out of his head.
When Scott sat down, he looked up at the moon with him. "Where do we go now?"

Under Da Sea
But then the mother stopped coming, and eventually the boy and his father didn't come anymore either. Every year, right as the land began its warm season, she waited and watched to see if the boy would come.
She decided she would come and wait one last time. To see if the boy and his father would come one last time.
no subject
But this year, when he was eighteen and he was thinking about whether he should leave to go to school or stay and be here, he had the time. A bit of calm and he could come to the water. Think. Clear his head.

Grey's - The Results
(The rumor going around that Lydia had made a swap monkey deal so she could take that day off with Stiles was totally false. Totally.)
But now it's the end of a shift and she's in the locker room putting on her street clothes as she glances at the door, waiting for Stiles to come through with news of his results.
Re: Grey's - The Results
So, when he finally speaks, it's...probably strange. "No atrophy. No decay." And yet, he's still forgetting things. He's still having...odd moments in the day. Vague hallucinations that he honestly can't remember if he mentioned to Lydia or not, or when they even started.

post boomtown - 6 months later
No, the weird part was apparently Eli'd made sure there was a way for Charlie to have a normal life. Apparently someone there owed him and Charlie found herself with a really good job as co-manager of a local coffee shop. And she found herself with a social security number that she could use without worry.
But Charlie settled in soon enough to a routine and god bless it because it got her and Stiles and Tori an alright apartment. And even after the weirdness that is discovering he was suddenly a grandfather, Stiles' dad took to Tori better than expected.
Now, six months later on a day off, Charlie sat under an umbrella on the beach, watching her daughter with a smile on her face. Tori sat nearby with a small bucket and pail, doing her best to get sand in the bucket and growing frustrated while it got everywhere and Stiles? He'd wandered off to get them food.
This was pretty much perfect.

Lydia | Nogitsune!
Lydia is driving home when she feels herself turn toward the highway instead. It's a pull, one she's been growing used to after it's been happening so much. She doesn't hear anything, she just drives and hopes whatever she's about to find isn't going to be so bad.
It's late, past ten already and the school is completely empty but she finds herself parking there. She doesn't really get memory loses anymore but she also doesn't feel like she's in complete control over her actions when these things happen. It's something she wants desperately to be able to control but she's just not there yet.
The lights on the Lacrosse field are on and even as she is pulled toward it, she wants to stop. Because it reminds her of the night of the Winter Formal, and Peter. But it's not Peter who is standing there this time.
She frowns and finally stops a few feet from him.
"Stiles?"
Post 3b?
Woken up, and apparently walked here in barefeet and sleep clothes. But whatever. He was here. A little disoriented, but here.
And so was she. Of course she was.] He hesitated for a moment before turning around.]
Lydia.

stiles and malia go lingerie shopping
The point was, Stiles' house almost felt more like a home to her than the actual home she lived in did, and that was why she was over there as many nights a week as she was. He's asleep by the time she manages to get out and get there, and she's soon following him into slumber the minute she's curled up under his blankets with him. Morning comes, and she's still curled up at his side, face pressed into his neck, legs twined with his, although one of her over the knee socks has scrunched it's way down to her ankle, and her shirt is hiked up and wrinkled. She's in the soft grey space between sleeping and awake when the light hits her, and she lays still, testing to see if he's awoken yet, too. ]
Re: stiles and malia go lingerie shopping
It's been difficult, to say the least. But she's helped. A lot.
He's been awake for a little while, watching her sleep and still dozing a little himself. Eventually, he smiles and caaaarefully pokes her in the shoulder.]

GA (New Year's Eve)
Lydia and Stiles have both drawn the lot for this evening; having gotten Christmas off they make up for it by having to work the double of both Eve and New Years Day. It's Lydia who suggested they get as much sleep as they can, which is why, about an hour and a half before their shift, she lifts her head off his chest in the dark on-call room and gives him a gentle nudge.]
Stiles. Wake up.
