A shrug. "I am if you are." Shall he start the car again? He doesn't even really live that far from the school.

There's a blink, and suddenly she pulls away. For some mysterious reason, something just annoyed her.

Oh, that gets a look from him. "Lydia?"

[lefthandedgenius]

"You know," she says, a bit cautiously. "I realize I'm not perfect or that anyone should feel particularly flattered about being with to make out or have sex or whatever it is they're inclined to do, but for a guy who is supposed to be as into me as you say, you seem curiously underwhelmed by the prospect of it all."

"Oh." He gives her a weird look. "I'm in a jeep. Last time I did a particularly energetic celebration dance in my jeep, I got a concussion from the roof. I try not to anymore." But you know, Lydia, apparently he will make an exception for you.

Also, maybe, to see if she laughs.

She doesn't laugh, but she does smile. And lean forward again. To kiss him? Nope, instead she takes the index finger from each of her hands, presses them to the corner of each side of his lips, and gently pushes them upward. See? She's making him smile.

His turn to laugh, perhaps?

Hey, it worked. "Come on here. Dance with me. We're excited, right?"

Giving him a sidelong glance, she proceeds to do what might best be interpreted as a seated, more sedated verion of the Snoopy Dance from the passenger seat, and grins.

He laughs at this and joins in. "Maybe we need some music."

"Start the car." she suggests instead. "We'll dance at your place."

He flashes her a grin, and does just that. "On our way, ma'am." And like previously stated, he doesn't even live that far from the high school. Which is probably pretty lucky, really.

Let's be honest, Lydia is actually very curious about Stiles' place. She's pretty much expecting a bachelor pad. She might not be surprised to find it clean, but a person's home often tells a lot about someone's personality, and to her, Stiles can be both brilliant and erratic.

It is pretty clean, once they get in there. But there's also a lot of research on both the dining room table and the coffee table in front of the tv. And a lot of cans of red bull.

So it's...interesting.

The Red Bull doesn't surprise her in the slightest. She isn't even entirely sure Stiles sleeps. Like...ever.

The research though, that she's unable to resist picking up a few pages of to take a glance at.

There's a lot of it. Medical research for...various different departments. And students. Some papers he's helping people with. And weirdly, some books on werewolves. Go figure. "So. Dancing, or do you want something to drink?"

"Yes to both." she replies matter-of-factly. "Werewolves, huh?" There's a tilt of her head. "I wasn't aware lycanthropy was a thing for you."

He goes to the kitchen, grabs them each a beer. "I've always been curious about stuff like that."

She'll take her beer and indulge in a sip, licking her lips before gazing back down at the research paperwork. "Why?"

While awaiting his answer, she looks around a little. MP3 dock or other such device with which music is produced anywhere to be found?

There is, in fact, an mp3 dock right beside the TV and the Roku box. And an impressive array of video games and video game machines. "Why not? It's interesting." And, if true, maybe useful.

I'm taking lliberties with his musical tastes, hope you forgive

"Are you now, or have you ever been a werewolf?" she asks blithely, taking a moment to scroll through his mp3 options. There's a soft ah as she finds a selection and sets it up to play. The Plain White T's begin to play as she steps up to him, expression expectant. She's waiting to see what he's going to do.

"Not ever." Which doesn't...really mean he doesn't know any. But. He's apparently not going to volunteer that information, for the moment. He is, however, going to take her by the hand and try to dance with her. Woo, dance party.

That's alright. Lydia's not even in I'm something! mode yet. She does however, let him take her by the hand, and let herself get wheeled about to be danced with. Whether he's good or bad, whether his feet end up on on her toes or not, it's really hard to avoid smiling as they dance...and she doesn't avoid it at all.

He tries very hard to keep off her toes, and probably mostly succeeds. Hooray! Once the song is over, he grins at her. "Another dance, or are you hungry?"

She blinks in surprise. "Were you planning to cook for me? Or is this a metaphor?"

"No, I figured maybe we could order a pizza. But I mean, it could be a metaphor." Ha, ha?
