"Possibly metaphorical, possibly real. Possibly both." It's a mystery!

"Go ahead and order pizza. But if it gets cold, that's not my fault."

She goes to flop on his couch. She's still in her scrubs, and stretches out on it while watching him.

"Cold pizza is the best pizza," he points out. His opinion, anyway. He grabs his phone and then goes to flop down beside her on the couch. "What toppings, and if you say sausage I will laugh at you for an entire thirty seconds."

She shifts, resting on her side and sort of leaning into him. "Pepperoni." she decides, "And mushrooms. Unless you don't like mushrooms. But pepperoni is non-negotiable."

Is it cruel of her to start playing connect-the-dots with his moles using the tip of her finger while he's trying to talk on the phone?

A little, maybe. But he doesn't stop her. He orders 2 pizzas, both pepperoni and mushroom. A two liter of some soda or another, and captures her other hand in his. Tangles their fingers together, and watches her as he talks. When he gets off the phone, he leans over and he kisses her.

It's funny. She knew she'd end up kissing him at some point in between getting into the jeep with him and now, but it still comes as a surprise anyway. Maybe she thought she was going to have to kiss him, instead of it being the other way around.

She is unsurprised that Stiles Stilinski is a good kisser, though.

And he's not really surprised that she's a good kisser either. Honestly, he's a little surprised to have kissed her first. But he was starting to get the impression she was getting a little...annoyed with his glacial pace.

Lydia Martin? Generally used to guys trying to get into her pants. Which might be tiring at times, but she does appreciate a certain amount of...proactivity. Glacial is not a pace she's accustomed to.

But once that barrier has been breached, she's a little stunned, if her expression is any evidence.

"Well. I hope I didn't screw that up." Light tone, but...he might actually be worried about that.

Her mouth opens to speak, and for a second she can't, until she smiles and shakes her head. "No," she says firmly, "You definitely didn't screw that up. But if you want to be absolutely sure, you're welcome to do it again."

"Oh, well. If you insist." Then he will do just exactly that. To be absolutely positively sure he did not mess that up.

She seems to like it when he does exactly that.

"Did I mess that up?" she asks. "I feel like there's an expectation of excellence."

"You in no way messed that up."

[lefthandedgenius]

Smiling, she traces the slope of his nose with one finger. "Are you sure? Because maybe I should do it again to make sure I got it right."

He touches her cheek with his fingers, thinking. "Oh, we should. We should go and do that."

Kissing as an end to itself rather than automatically segueing into something else turns out to be a pretty nice thing. She tastes like strawberries, loves to nip, and at one point actually suggests he put his hands "someplace useful".

They don't even notice when the doorbell rings at first. Poor pizza delivery guy.

The poor pizza guy has to ring the bell a few times before he gets anybody's attention, and even then? It's more than a little reluctant attention. Considering that at the moment Stiles would much rather give Lydia all of his attention.

She actually finds the way he distractedly deals with the delivery guy rather endearing. Kicking of her shoes, she stands next to the couch while he tips the guy and returns.

"You were saying you like your pizza cold, right?"

He might have tipped the guy entirely too generously. Oh well. "I did indeed."

"What are we going to do while we wait for it to get cold?"

Is this the same girl who was sobbing in the stairwell maybe an hour ago?

He is in a bit of wonderment about that. "I think we can think of a few things, yeah?"

Presumably the pizza is left on a counter or table somewhere, and to be honest Lydia isn't all invested in it. She is however, letting her feet bring her nose to nose with Stiles. And if he lets her, she tugs the hem of his scrubs off, so she can his shirt right off of him.

"We are two particularly brilliant people. I don't see any reason why we can't come up with a few options on how to approach this problem."

"I'm pretty clever when I put my mind to it. You never know what either of us might come up with, really." Right now, he's setting his mind on getting her into his room.

She seems inclined to assist this notion of his. He's kind of leading her, and she's walking backward in whatever direction he's guiding her. But since he no longer has a shirt, she just leads him along by he waistband of his scrub pants. Which gives her the means to kiss him again, and him a little bit of a harder time navigating.

But? Eventually? They'll get to his room, and he'll just have to help her with her own scrubs. That's polite...to an extent.

It's not entirely altruistic.
