Stiles may, in fact, feel the need to count his fingers. Or hers. But he manages to supress that urge, and pay attention to this moment with her. Watching her, and eventually smiling at her.

"You're grinning like a loon." she tells him, though she's smiling too. "I'm guessing that means I was up to expectation."

"Oh, you're amazing. And awesome." The question is, really, did he.

"True facts." she agrees, stetching in a feline fashion along the length of his mattress. "You're pretty amazing yourself." Not what she expected. To be entirely honest, she wasn't sure what to expect. But Stiles, he pays attention.

"I think the pizza is definitely cold now."

"You know, probably? Good thing I've got an oven." You know, in case she doesn't quite like cold pizza as much as he does.

"I don't mind it cold." she says, adding, "I don't even think I'm ever actually going to think about cold pizza quite as mundanely as I have prior to today ever again."

Stiles laughed at that. "Me either, honestly."

"Can I borrow a shirt?" Like as not any one of his shirts will come down to her knees, giving her adequate cover when they finally make it to the kitchen.

If they make it to the kitchen.

"Yeah, sure. Of course." He'll even grab her one.

She lets the shirt slide down over her torso, and with a pat to Stiles' stomach, pads barefoot through his apartment over to the table, plucking up a slice of pizza and chomping on the end. For all the world like this is an every day thing.

Stiles grabs his own clothes, following her out and grabbing a slice of pizza himself. He would not be lying if he said he kind of hoped this did become an every day sort of ting.

She noms on the pizza slice, turning to watch him as he follows her from the bedroom. She wants to ask him if he got tested yet, but somehow this feels like the wrong moment.

"Did you get the entire shift off, or are we due back?"

Since he hasn't, yet, it might be exactly the wrong moment. He went in for an MRI, and ended up having a panic attack before he could actually finish the scan. That had been...something. "Yeah, whole shift."

She plucks a piece of pepperoni off her slice and nibbles on it delicately. "Then we don't have to be at work again until tomorrow. What do you want to do?" She grins a little bit, "And no, we can't stay in your bedroom the whole time."

"Aw, shucks." Flashing her a grin. "What would you normally be doing, on your day off?"

"Nothing terribly exciting." she admits and then, "What most interns do, right I sleep. A lot. But there's reading - the non-studying kind, for me anyway. Shop. I used to be the popular girl in high school and now it's pretty sad; I just want to bum around in my sweats on my days off. I should theoretically go out more. Tell me you do something more interesting?"

He thinks about it. It takes...an entirely too long to think of something. "Sometimes Scott and I still practice lacrosse? And I play video games. X Box, wii, that kind of thing."

"So let's try a different question." Here's the proof: surgical interns are lazy as hell. "What do you want to do with all this time off?"

Lazy or crazy busy with work. "Well. We could watch a movie. I've got plenty of those."

Well, on their days off. In the hospital, the fun never stops. "We could." she says. "Do you actually have The Notebook?"

If he does, god as her witness, she may have to marry him someday.

"Not only, Lydia, do I have The Notebook? ?But I also have Nights in Rodanthe and A Walk To Remember." So you know, he's clearly awesome right?

There's a tilt of her head. "You know, you're like a male tortoise shell cat? A guy who likes girls and also Nicholas Sparks novels and their film adaptations. I do prefer A Walk to Remember over Nights in Rodanthe, but if you're suggesting we curl up with cold pizza and The Notebook," she sucks her lips in for a moment.

"It sounds perfect."

"Oh, I'm also part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures. If that interests you at all, and I cannot possibly imagine why it would. The Notebook it is!"

Her mouth opens, brow arching. And then she shuts it. For the Horde or something, right? She has no idea. She does however, grab the pizza box and take it over to his coffee table before settling on the couch. Which she plans to share with him. That's good, since it's his couch.

Stiles follows, carrying the soda and two glasses. He wasn't sure if she wanted ice, though. "I may have over-geeked myself there." Maaaybe.
