She blinks in surprise. "Were you planning to cook for me? Or is this a metaphor?"

"No, I figured maybe we could order a pizza. But I mean, it could be a metaphor." Ha, ha?

"Depends on what you think the metaphor is." She's actually still got her arms around him from that dance. She does not want to make of him at times, but still wouldn't prefer being any other place right now.

He thinks about it. "That is a good and possibly dirty question." He hmmmmmms.

"Oh no," she says firmly, "It is absolutely a dirty question." She tilts her head at him, a thought suddenly occurring to her. "So I'm going to ask you something and I don't want you to take it the wrong way."

"Ohkaaaay." Tilting his head as well, and watching her. "What's up?"

"You've done this before...haven't you?"

He snorts. "Do you know Malia Tate?" He's not sure anyone really actually does.

[lefthandedgenius]

"Kind of." Only kind of. Her brows lift. No judging! "Okay, then." Well, maybe a little judging.

"So. Pizza. Possibly metaphorical."

"Possibly metaphorical, possibly real. Possibly both." It's a mystery!

[lefthandedgenius]

"Go ahead and order pizza. But if it gets cold, that's not my fault."

She goes to flop on his couch. She's still in her scrubs, and stretches out on it while watching him.

"Cold pizza is the best pizza," he points out. His opinion, anyway. He grabs his phone and then goes to flop down beside her on the couch. "What toppings, and if you say sausage I will laugh at you for an entire thirty seconds."

She shifts, resting on her side and sort of leaning into him. "Pepperoni." she decides, "And mushrooms. Unless you don't like mushrooms. But pepperoni is non-negotiable."

Is it cruel of her to start playing connect-the-dots with his moles using the tip of her finger while he's trying to talk on the phone?

A little, maybe. But he doesn't stop her. He orders 2 pizzas, both pepperoni and mushroom. A two liter of some soda or another, and captures her other hand in his. Tangles their fingers together, and watches her as he talks. When he gets off the phone, he leans over and he kisses her.

It's funny. She knew she'd end up kissing him at some point in between getting into the jeep with him and now, but it still comes as a surprise anyway. Maybe she thought she was going to have to kiss him, instead of it being the other way around.

She is unsurprised that Stiles Stilinski is a good kisser, though.

And he's not really surprised that she's a good kisser either. Honestly, he's a little surprised to have kissed her first. But he was starting to get the impression she was getting a little...annoyed with his glacial pace.

Lydia Martin? Generally used to guys trying to get into her pants. Which might be tiring at times, but she does appreciate a certain amount of...proactivity. Glacial is not a pace she's accustomed to.

But once that barrier has been breached, she's a little stunned, if her expression is any evidence.

"Well. I hope I didn't screw that up." Light tone, but...he might actually be worried about that.

Her mouth opens to speak, and for a second she can't, until she smiles and shakes her head. "No," she says firmly, "You definitely didn't screw that up. But if you want to be absolutely sure, you're welcome to do it again."

"Oh, well. If you insist." Then he will do just exactly that. To be absolutely positively sure he did not mess that up.

She seems to like it when he does exactly that.

"Did I mess that up?" she asks. "I feel like there's an expectation of excellence."

"You in no way messed that up."

Smiling, she traces the slope of his nose with one finger. "Are you sure? Because maybe I should do it again to make sure I got it right."

He touches her cheek with his fingers, thinking. "Oh, we should. We should go and do that."

Kissing as an end to itself rather than automatically segueing into something else turns out to be a pretty nice thing. She tastes like strawberries, loves to nip, and at one point actually suggests he put his hands "someplace useful".

They don't even notice when the doorbell rings at first. Poor pizza delivery guy.
