"You in no way messed that up."

Smiling, she traces the slope of his nose with one finger. "Are you sure? Because maybe I should do it again to make sure I got it right."

He touches her cheek with his fingers, thinking. "Oh, we should. We should go and do that."

Kissing as an end to itself rather than automatically segueing into something else turns out to be a pretty nice thing. She tastes like strawberries, loves to nip, and at one point actually suggests he put his hands "someplace useful".

They don't even notice when the doorbell rings at first. Poor pizza delivery guy.

The poor pizza guy has to ring the bell a few times before he gets anybody's attention, and even then? It's more than a little reluctant attention. Considering that at the moment Stiles would much rather give Lydia all of his attention.

She actually finds the way he distractedly deals with the delivery guy rather endearing. Kicking of her shoes, she stands next to the couch while he tips the guy and returns.

"You were saying you like your pizza cold, right?"

He might have tipped the guy entirely too generously. Oh well. "I did indeed."

"What are we going to do while we wait for it to get cold?"

Is this the same girl who was sobbing in the stairwell maybe an hour ago?

He is in a bit of wonderment about that. "I think we can think of a few things, yeah?"

Presumably the pizza is left on a counter or table somewhere, and to be honest Lydia isn't all invested in it. She is however, letting her feet bring her nose to nose with Stiles. And if he lets her, she tugs the hem of his scrubs off, so she can his shirt right off of him.

"We are two particularly brilliant people. I don't see any reason why we can't come up with a few options on how to approach this problem."

"I'm pretty clever when I put my mind to it. You never know what either of us might come up with, really." Right now, he's setting his mind on getting her into his room.

She seems inclined to assist this notion of his. He's kind of leading her, and she's walking backward in whatever direction he's guiding her. But since he no longer has a shirt, she just leads him along by he waistband of his scrub pants. Which gives her the means to kiss him again, and him a little bit of a harder time navigating.

But? Eventually? They'll get to his room, and he'll just have to help her with her own scrubs. That's polite...to an extent.

It's not entirely altruistic.

Lydia appreciates his courtesy. And she's a big fan of his altruism.

To top it off, she seems to thoroughly lack anything resembling body shyness when it comes down to it.

Which is absolutely something he can appreciate, of course. And he can appreciate that right on over to his mighty convenient bed. Which is even made, miracle of miracles.

It won't stay made for long.

He'll find out she's quite the explorer, not one to lay back and let him do all the work. She tries to find all the spots - not just the universal ones that everyone knows - that make him react, like she's storing them for later.

If it occurs to him that there might be a later.

It occurs to him that he'd like there to be a later. And another later, and a days later. Even as he explores further, finding her own spots and memorizing them.

He never forgets anything to do with Lydia Martin, and this will be no exception.

There's that spot on her shoulder and the nape of her neck, and basically anything having to do with the small of her back will curl her toes. She laughs a lot, but it's not at him, it's with him, and that makes the essential difference.

While objects in motion tend to stay in motion, people it would seem, inevitably come to rest. Lydia Martin is laying on his bed, her limbs tangled in his. She's naked, they're sweaty and satisfied, and reality might be questionable for him at the moment, but if he pinches himself or counts his fingers...it's not a dream.

Stiles may, in fact, feel the need to count his fingers. Or hers. But he manages to supress that urge, and pay attention to this moment with her. Watching her, and eventually smiling at her.

"You're grinning like a loon." she tells him, though she's smiling too. "I'm guessing that means I was up to expectation."

"Oh, you're amazing. And awesome." The question is, really, did he.

[lefthandedgenius]

"True facts." she agrees, stetching in a feline fashion along the length of his mattress. "You're pretty amazing yourself." Not what she expected. To be entirely honest, she wasn't sure what to expect. But Stiles, he pays attention.

"I think the pizza is definitely cold now."

"You know, probably? Good thing I've got an oven." You know, in case she doesn't quite like cold pizza as much as he does.

"I don't mind it cold." she says, adding, "I don't even think I'm ever actually going to think about cold pizza quite as mundanely as I have prior to today ever again."

Stiles laughed at that. "Me either, honestly."
