[She's surprised by the way he grabs her hand. Not so much that he does so. And she doesn't want to freak him out but she needs to see if the kanji is still there.]

Stiles? I don't want to scare you, but I need to check something.

Check for something. All right.

[lydiascreams]

[She steps closer to him and reaches up behind his left ear, searching for the mark. It might be too dark for her to see it, but she should be able to feel it.]

He does, at least, hold still for this. Watching her, carefully. However, the mark? If it's there, it's highly faded.

[She definitely doesn't feel or see anything and it's enough to make her stomach turn. She drops her hand away and offers him a small smile. She needs to call Scott.]

Okay, we should get going.

[He stares at her for a moment, before nodding.]

Where are we going to go?

[lydiascreams]

[Yeah, him not questioning her is definitely not good.]

Do you wanna go for a drive? Or maybe Scott's?

[It really, really is not.]

A drive?

[It's weird, but he kind of wants to stay away from Scott.]

[She's definitely nervous about being in the car alone with him, but Stiles would never hurt her and even the Nogitsune hadn't when he had the chance so, worst case scenario, she should be safe. Right?]

Okay. Are you hungry?

[Plus he's still way out of it.]

...yes. I'm hungry.

[For what, he's not...entirely sure.]

[lydiascreams]

[That turns her stomach. Because it sounds too familiar.]

Do you wanna stop by In-N-Out?

[More hesitation, but. A nod.]

Yeah. Sure. Why not?

[She nods and gives him a soft smile as she starts toward her car.]

Are you cold?

Cold? No.

[Which is probably impressive, since he's not wearing shoes.]

[Not so much impressive as worrying.]

You'll need to put up with the heater for a little while, sorry. I'm cold.

[And she knows what kind of answer she'd get from normal Stiles if she told him she was cold. So it's kind of another test.]

[He looks...puzzled, honestly. As if he's not sure how to respond to that. Or he is, but he is not.]

...I don't have a coat with me.

[lydiascreams]

[That is a good answer but-- the look on his face is off. Still, it makes her relax a little as she reaches for his hand. Mostly because he looks so lost.]

Once we're in the car, I'll be fine.

[He feels...wrong. And off. And also not wrong? He doesn't know how to explain it.]

That's good. I mean...yeah. That's good.

[lydiascreams]

[He's definitely not making much sense. Maybe texting Deaton would help. Once they get to her car, she squeezes his hand and lets go of it as she makes her way into the driver's seat.]

Do you remember anything about what you were dreaming of before you got here?

Just...the nematon. That's all I remember. Sorry.

[Definitely not good.]

There's no need to apologize, Stiles. Let's go get you something to eat.

There isn't?

... No? Why? Do you think there is?

[He shook his head, at a loss for how to respond to that.] I don't know.

Stiles, what's going on?

[She starts the car and the heater but doesn't go anywhere.]
