[They'd removed him from the secondary host, of course they had. But he'd held on a little bit in Stiles' brain, and little by little over the past few months he'd come trickling back in. It hadn't been easy, of course not. He'd been in that box made from the nemeton. But a box made of magical wood wasn't as powerful as an entire tree of it. And finally, finally he'd woken up one night in the middle of one of Stiles' ever present nightmares.

Woken up, and apparently walked here in barefeet and sleep clothes. But whatever. He was here. A little disoriented, but here.

And so was she. Of course she was.] He hesitated for a moment before turning around.]

Lydia.

Ooouch, awesome.

[lydiascreams]

[She stares at him for a moment before taking a few steps forward. He feels off. Again. But she knows this can't be him. They changed him. They caught him and that was over. Now they are just left to try and piece themselves back together.

But the fact that he is barefeet and in pajamas is not a good sign. She knows Stiles has problems sleeping but she doesn't think sleep walking is one of them.]

Are you okay? What are you doing here?

[At least he didn't sleepwalk into a coyote den this time.]

What am I doing here? [Thinking. Thinking.] I don't know.

[lydiascreams]

[Okay. She's definitely worried now. She took another step forward and looked at him closely.]

You're not hurt, are you?

No, I think...that I'm okay.

[Doesn't he look okay, Lydia?]

[lydiascreams]

[No. No, he definitely doesn't and it makes her stomach turn. Because she's seen that look on his face before.]

Why don't I drive you home?

[He nods, sort of absently.]

Okay. Yeah. Thanks.

[lydiascreams]

[She pauses at his easy agreement. Because if he really isn't himself then she might be setting herself up for another kidnapping...]

Stiles? Are you sure you're okay?

I mean, I don't really know how I got out here.

[lydiascreams]

But you feel okay otherwise?

[She hesitates and lifts a hand to his arm. Trying to pick up on >something.]

[He glances at her hand, and grabs it. Lightly. As if he's not really sure what he's doing.]

I think so.

[lydiascreams]

[She's surprised by the way he grabs her hand. Not so much that he does so. And she doesn't want to freak him out but she needs to see if the kanji is still there.]

Stiles? I don't want to scare you, but I need to check something.

Check for something. All right.

[lydiascreams]

[She steps closer to him and reaches up behind his left ear, searching for the mark. It might be too dark for her to see it, but she should be able to feel it.]

He does, at least, hold still for this. Watching her, carefully. However, the mark? If it's there, it's highly faded.

[lydiascreams]

[She definitely doesn't feel or see anything and it's enough to make her stomach turn. She drops her hand away and offers him a small smile. She needs to call Scott.]

Okay, we should get going.

[He stares at her for a moment, before nodding.]

Where are we going to go?

[lydiascreams]

[Yeah, him not questioning her is definitely not good.]

Do you wanna go for a drive? Or maybe Scott's?

[useofcuriosity]

[It really, really is not.]

A drive?

[It's weird, but he kind of wants to stay away from Scott.]

[lydiascreams]

[She's definitely nervous about being in the car alone with him, but Stiles would never hurt her and even the Nogitsune hadn't when he had the chance so, worst case scenario, she should be safe. Right?]

Okay. Are you hungry?

[Plus he's still way out of it.]

...yes. I'm hungry.

[For what, he's not...entirely sure.]

[lydiascreams]

[That turns her stomach. Because it sounds too familiar.]

Do you wanna stop by In-N-Out?

[More hesitation, but. A nod.]

Yeah. Sure. Why not?

[lydiascreams]

[She nods and gives him a soft smile as she starts toward her car.]

Are you cold?

Cold? No.

[Which is probably impressive, since he's not wearing shoes.]
